On learning about the developmental work of the Amrut Foundation in Bertrams, global commodities conglomerate ETG’s Exchange Trade Commodities Team, came out to Bertrams, Johannesburg for a team-building day. The ETG team took to painting and refurnishing rooms at the Tshimangadzo Care Center (TCC) that would serve as a play area and reading space for children from Bertrams and surrounding areas such as Yeoville and Hillbrow.
TCC Director, Sister Thabile, commended the team for coming out and painting the rooms with vibrant colours that children would like. Children from the area also expressed their joy at receiving reading material, educational games and toys.
The revamping of the children’s play area is part of the long-term partnership between the Amrut Foundation and TCC in making a deep and meaningful impact in the lives of the people of Bertrams and surrounding areas.
