In a collaborative effort, Vamara Group, a key sponsor to the Foundation, teamed up with Amrut for a significant refurbishment project at the Family Life Center (FAMSA) in Parkwood, Johannesburg. FAMSA, with its focus on supporting individuals and families facing mental health and relationship challenges, plays a pivotal role in diverse communities across South Africa.
The historical building in Parkwood received a much-needed makeover, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Olympic Paints. Olympic Paints not only donated all painting and repair materials, but also actively participated in the first phase of the restoration alongside the Amrut and Vamara teams. The teams also engaged in productive team-building activities, fostering collaboration and synergy around common developmental ideals. In the weeks following the event, building professionals took over the technical aspects of the restoration.
During the event, FAMSA’s key team members emphasized the importance of addressing mental health issues and the significance of speaking up for oneself and others. Their insights shed light on the pivotal role organizations like FAMSA play in supporting the mental well-being of the most vulnerable individuals in our society. They also highlighted the need for business to take mental health seriously amongst employees and their family members.
Amrut Foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting organizations that provide essential services for mental well-being. We are proud to serve as a catalyst, bringing together donors and partners to fuel initiatives that make a tangible impact on the lives of those in need.
